Damaged Chernobyl nuclear reactor receives new containment building

The radiation-leaking Chernobyl nuclear reactor complex in Ukraine has a new containment structure designed to block release of deadly radiation. Named the "New Safe Confinement," it replaces the dilapidated structure, called the "sarcophagus," constructed several years ago.

Hopefully, it will serve to block the radiation that leaked profusely as a result of the deadly explosion of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor complex in 1986, releasing deadly radiation that infested much of the earth.

Southern border of US is largely borderless!

The US-Mexico border stretches over 1,900 miles, but the portion of it without fencing is staggering, as the Washington Examiner reports in a December 7, 2016, article:

"There's a lot of work to do. Last year, in response to           questions from Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, DHS revealed that there are only 36.3 miles of double-layer fencing along the 1,954-mile Mexican border. Secretary Jeh Johnson told the Senate that 1,300 miles of the border, or 66.5 percent, have no fencing at all; 299.8 miles, or 15.3 percent, have vehicle fence; 316.6 miles, or 16.2 percent, have pedestrian fence, and 36.3 miles, or 2 percent, have double-layer fencing. Johnson also said there is no work being done on any additional fencing."

President Trump, however, thanks to the Secure Fence Act, already has the authority to rectify this.
